Learning to Trust Myself – From Friday 10.09.09

I think I might go towards portraits next. The drawing quality
is starting to influence the way I paint. This is definitely a huge
discovery for me! The way I paint now is loose and gesturally
 because I trust my hand and eye more.



[c] 5 minutes

I'm trying out broader lines to loosen up and capture the
spirit of the pose.



[d] 5 minutes



[e] 2 minutes

Man...what a rush... Try drawing two people in 2 minutes!
The drawing above is from the first quarter of the session.
Quite a warm up.

    i'm sure at this point you can easily guess which ones i'll like best, but that last one is incredible. nice concise markmaking and great gesture. nice going, hot shot
